industrial revolution
The lower class of the industrial revolution also known as the working class or poverty class. Was a social class in the industrial revolution. This class people couldn't afford a lot of stuff and were more likely to get diseases and not live as long. The middle class had people that were more professional and these people were more likely to not get diseases and more likely to live longer and healthier. The Upper class was just like the middle class but these people were a little more important and had better jobs like being a Doctor. Before they had machines most of the people in the lower class would be farming and working on fields. After a while the uperclass people started to fence all the land this was called the enclosure movement. This forced the farmers to leave because they couldn't farm anymore due to the land being fenced the farmers lost their land and the upper class got machines to do the work for them.
The farmers didn't want to just live on the streets so they went up to the towns. In the towns there were factories were they could work. The enclosure movement was a good thing because it bung all the farmers to factories the factories paid cheap. With all the farmers coming the factories got a lot of people working in them. Children had to work in factories they had to do dangerous task like cleaning the big machinery. With all the machines factories were able to run anywhere as long as they had coal. Traveling was easier and faster. before factories people had to make their own things in their house this was called the cottage industry were people would make their own things but now with all the machines and the people working in factories they can produce large masses of products to sell at stores for people to buy. The industrial revolution changes society today because today almost everyhing is produced in factories.
